Way Behind on Pics!

I have so much to post. I'll do my best to get everything in the last month posted tomorrow. We have been busy with baseball (Tyler is still playing), camping, and gardening. Brady got his first haircut on May 29th. He did great. He looks like a little boy now instead of a baby. He is walking around everywhere, although still a little slow. He is a climber. He made it half-way up the stairs before I could get from the laundry room to the staircase which isn't far. We discovered this weekend that he loves to swim. He was putting his face in the water and trying to drink it and when I layed him across my arms on his belly, he was kicking and paddling. He didn't like being on his back though, which he doesn't ever like. It's almost impossible to change his diaper. He needs a straight jacket to keep him still. We are working on taking his bottle. He is down to just his nighttime bottle which tonight I switched to a sippy cup. He doesn't really like whole milk unless it's warm, so I'm having trouble getting him to drink enough milk each day, but he eats food like crazy, so I just try to make sure to feed him something with dairy in it at least twice a day.

Colby finished Tee-ball. Tyler is still playing Babe-Ruth through the middle of July at least. Seems like everytime we have planned a camping trip, a tournment has been scheduled. We did manage to camp this past weekend with some friends and Tyler went to his game with another parent on Saturday, then Mike took him on Sunday. Brady doesn't handle the 2 hour games well because of the heat and wanting to get down to play. We get tired of passing him back and forth or strolling him around.

I've been to one workshop on Dyslexia and ADHD that was really interesting information. I have more at the end of June and a few in July. Our garden is starting to take off so that will keep me busy in the next few weeks. Colby and I went with 4H to pick fruit at a local orchard so I've made blackberry jelly and peach jam. My in-laws grew strawberries this year so we all had plenty of fresh strawberries to eat, freeze, and make strawberry jam with. Brady loves steamed squash so I will put some up in the freezer for this winter. I also make homemade spaghetti sauce and can it. My tomatoes and squash will start getting ready next week. Thursday, I'm going with Colby and 4H to the Diamond Mine and Water Park. My mom is going to keep Brady for me. I thought that this would be a great way to just spend time with Colby. He's a bit attention starved since Brady arrived last year. He only gets my one-on-one attention at bedtime and this summer when Brady naps we practice on school work. He was still stuggling a bit and I want to make sure that he doesn't start out behind in first grade. He is excited about the day with mama.

It will be a busy month again and school will start back way too soon. I love being home with the kids and or course not getting up at 5:30 everyday. Still can't find the time to get everything done that I'd like but I doubt that will ever change. Anyway, I will try to get everything posted tomorrow because my computer is going to get worked on. It has gotten so slow and outdated.

The past few weeks!

These are few pics from the past few weeks. I also have some from Mother's Day-Baby Dedication Day at church. I'll try to get those on there tomorrow. I can't believe that Brady will be 1 year old on Thursday.
Brady has found my pans under the stove.
He loves dragging them out and putting back in.

Colby's favorite place to sit while I cook.
His Daddy always sat in the corner of his mom's kitchen also.
Brady loves watching T.V.

Colby had a skinned knee that needed attention.
Colby digging and playing in the mud.
Brady loves "cooking up" his own stuff.

Brady has found the pantry now. He thinks the potatoes taste good.

Brady was making a huge mess, but he thought it was fun!

Brady's First Real Vacation

We went camping at Wright Patman Lake the 1st weekend of May. This was Brady's first real vacation. We camped last year when he was 1 month old, but this is the first one that he got to actually participate in. He's a pretty good camper. We went for a family reunion with Mike's family.
Brady and Uncle Eddy waiting out the storm.
Mike and Aunt Francis. Music is a big part of Daniell Family events.
Colby, Hunter, and Jaycee riding in Hunter's gator.

Colby insisted that he swim.

Papa and Brady playing on the couch in the camper. Papa was feeding Brady something he shouldn't have probably.

I don't think Brady liked it that much.

Brady's First Steps

Brady took his first "real" steps tonight. He has tried to take a few by falling forward, but tonight he walked a couple of steps toward Mike and the bathtub. I wasn't prepared and didn't get those on video. After his bath, we had him try again and this time he walked about 5 steps. He's going to be going everywhere soon. Colby was excited because later Brady tried to walk to him also. It won't be long until Colby wishes that Brady was still a baby that can't follow him around. I hope you all enjoy the moment. I wasn't fortunate enough to get Colby's first steps on video. He had been walking some before I was able to get the camera to work and tape him. It's so exciting but sad also because they grow up so soon. I can't believe that Brady will be 11 months old tomorrow.

Easter

Easter was fun, despite the rain. The boys had to hunt eggs in the house and in the gargage. Mike came down with flu-like symptoms and has been laid up on the couch all day. We went to Sunday School and Church and then to Sparkman to eat lunch, but then Mike slept all afternoon and after we got home tonight. I hope he doesn't have the flu, but he says that he hurts all over and his stomach is queasy. Anyway, I had to do everything by myself tonight since he was asleep, but I managed to still get the boys in bed on time. Then I had to clean everything up and pack everything for tomorrow. I hope he feels better tomorrow and no one else is sick. I can't be off this week since it's benchmark. Anyway. Here's a few pics from Easter.
Again, he's beating them together. He also would throw it and crawl after it as fast as he could. He had a great time. He got a big, fluffy lamb for Easter but I didn't get a picture today. It's almost as big as he is.
There's candy rattling inside so he is trying to figure out how to open it, which he did and I had to take the candy away. It just broke his little heart.

Brady was talking to the egg and banging them together.

Brady thought the eggs were cool.

Colby had to hunt the eggs under the garage at mom and pop's since it was pouring down rain. Tyler hid one in the dog's house.

We have a tradition of taking a family picture every easter since Mike and I started dating. Mike wasn't feeling well today so he looks bad. We think he has the flu.

Colby's Easter program at school.

The easter egg hunt at school. Colby ran past the eggs without picking them up. He said, he was so excited he forgot to pick them up. Things a 5-year will say.

New Car

Well, I talked Mike into the new car on Saturday. He came to the realization that we needed the space and if we didn't do something soon, my car would be worth nothing with all the miles that I put on it. So anyway, here's the new car. So far, we love it. It's a 2009 Chevy Traverse.

Update

Sorry, everyone that I have posted anything in a while. It's just been so busy. My computer is so slow that I didn't want to load anymore pics on it so I had all the pictures put on CD's instead. Here are a few of the most recent. Life is about to get crazier with baseball season. Colby will play at 5:30 on Tuesdays in Arkadelphia. We will have to hit the door running when school is out to make it from Nashville to the ballpark in time. Then Tyler will be playing on Mondays and Thursdays in Malvern. So we will be keeping the road hot, which is why I've been trying to buy a new car that has a little more room, but getting the supposed almost bankrupt car dealers to really make a deal is not happening. We are wanting to get one of the crossovers that has the 2nd row captain's chairs and a 3rd row seat so we have room for friends of the kids. Right now, we only have room for our family so it's hard to have friends over if we are all going somewhere at the same time. Anyway, I've researched every one of the "brands" and now I have to present my case to Mike. Ha! We just paid off both our vehicles so he isn't that excited about jumping into a new car loan, but we need the space. I think I have talked to almost every dealership in the area.
Brady is wanting to walk. But he just falls forward. He has cut two more teeth. They were not his top middle but the ones on each side of the top. I think his bottom ones on each side of the bottom middle will be next. He isn't sleeping all night again. He is getting up at 3:30 every night and ends up in the bed with us. So I'm running on about 5 hours of sleep every night. By the end of the week, I'm exhausted.

Colby has a big Easter egg hunt and easter music program at school tomorrow. Mike is going to be able to come and Colby's so excited about that. I won't be able to go because 3rd grade is having a Benchmark Battle contest to prepare for benchmark. We are all wearing Camo and having a group obstacle course. They have to answer their group question right to earn the chance to do the obstacle. We have been pushing so hard that we are hoping it will be something fun to help motivate them. Then we are having a Benchmark pep rally on Monday afternoon. Each class had to come up with a cheer. I put ours together and we have been practicing it, but it may not go so well on Monday. At least it should be fun. Of course, at this point, I think all we can do is pray a lot. Well, I better get these pictures loaded and get ready for bed. 5:20 will come early.
I think they were arguing about something. The other boy pushed Colby off the base for some reason.

Waiting for a ball to come to him.

Before the 1st tee-ball game

Brady fed himself his whole (green beans, yogurt granola bar, peaches, and puffs) supper. I had to strip him down in his chair and carry him straight to the tub, but he was so happy.
