I have so much to post. I'll do my best to get everything in the last month posted tomorrow. We have been busy with baseball (Tyler is still playing), camping, and gardening. Brady got his first haircut on May 29th. He did great. He looks like a little boy now instead of a baby. He is walking around everywhere, although still a little slow. He is a climber. He made it half-way up the stairs before I could get from the laundry room to the staircase which isn't far. We discovered this weekend that he loves to swim. He was putting his face in the water and trying to drink it and when I layed him across my arms on his belly, he was kicking and paddling. He didn't like being on his back though, which he doesn't ever like. It's almost impossible to change his diaper. He needs a straight jacket to keep him still. We are working on taking his bottle. He is down to just his nighttime bottle which tonight I switched to a sippy cup. He doesn't really like whole milk unless it's warm, so I'm having trouble getting him to drink enough milk each day, but he eats food like crazy, so I just try to make sure to feed him something with dairy in it at least twice a day.
Colby finished Tee-ball. Tyler is still playing Babe-Ruth through the middle of July at least. Seems like everytime we have planned a camping trip, a tournment has been scheduled. We did manage to camp this past weekend with some friends and Tyler went to his game with another parent on Saturday, then Mike took him on Sunday. Brady doesn't handle the 2 hour games well because of the heat and wanting to get down to play. We get tired of passing him back and forth or strolling him around.
I've been to one workshop on Dyslexia and ADHD that was really interesting information. I have more at the end of June and a few in July. Our garden is starting to take off so that will keep me busy in the next few weeks. Colby and I went with 4H to pick fruit at a local orchard so I've made blackberry jelly and peach jam. My in-laws grew strawberries this year so we all had plenty of fresh strawberries to eat, freeze, and make strawberry jam with. Brady loves steamed squash so I will put some up in the freezer for this winter. I also make homemade spaghetti sauce and can it. My tomatoes and squash will start getting ready next week. Thursday, I'm going with Colby and 4H to the Diamond Mine and Water Park. My mom is going to keep Brady for me. I thought that this would be a great way to just spend time with Colby. He's a bit attention starved since Brady arrived last year. He only gets my one-on-one attention at bedtime and this summer when Brady naps we practice on school work. He was still stuggling a bit and I want to make sure that he doesn't start out behind in first grade. He is excited about the day with mama.
It will be a busy month again and school will start back way too soon. I love being home with the kids and or course not getting up at 5:30 everyday. Still can't find the time to get everything done that I'd like but I doubt that will ever change. Anyway, I will try to get everything posted tomorrow because my computer is going to get worked on. It has gotten so slow and outdated.
