Pulling Up!

Brady has been pulling up for a few weeks. However, this week he has become quite the little dare devil. He is starting to turn lose for a few seconds or goes from hanging on to the couch and turning and grabbing the foot cushion. He went for his 9 month check-up yesterday. Wow!, already 9 months old. I can hardly believe it. The doctor said he was doing great. He weighed 23 lbs and was 31 inches long. He is already having to wear 18 month clothes for length. He started riding in his next size car seat this week. He is doing pretty good. He falls asleep and then when I get him out, he wakes up. Sometimes he fusses about that. He's still rear-facing but not in the infant carrier anymore. His head was sticking out of one end and his feet the other, plus it was rated for 20 lbs. I'm working on uploading the pictures, as I type, but as many as there are, it may take all night. I'll post them as soon as I can get them all uploaded.

Crawling

Brady finally decided to Crawl on his hands and knees tonight. He has been trying for about a week but hasn't been able to get it all going at the same time. He also said "ah ah" for "da da" on Thursday when Mike got home from work.

Well, still haven't gotten the pictures uploaded. I had good intentions of doing that on Friday of our break but Mike surprised me by taking the day off and we took the kids to his parents for the night. He had arranged for me to get a manicure and pedicure and then we went out to dinner and stayed in Hot Springs until Saturday. It was really nice and some much needed adult time with no kids around. So least to say, I didn't get anything done all day Friday or Saturday. Then we went to church on Sunday morning and Sunday evening. On Monday, I had eight loads of laundry to catch up on and grade papers. So I stayed busy all day between feeding the kids and getting Brady down for a nap.

Today has been hectic. Brady picked up a cough and snotty nose again over the weekend. He was very congested this morning when I dropped him off at daycare. They ended up calling me at about 1:00 this afternoon and said he was crying a lot and was running a low fever (100.5). So I made him an appointment and left school at about 2:30. I wanted the Dr. to do a RSV test since he was exposed to it and pneumonia at daycare last week but he said he thought his chest sounded like bronchitis and put him on some antibiotics and cough syrup. He is feeling better with the motrin and medicine and seems to be sleeping pretty well right now. I hope that the medicine works because if it doesn't and he gets worse, I'll probably throw a big fit with that doctor ( it wasn't his usual doctor). Well, anyway, I better get to bed. Brady is going to my mother-in-laws tomorrow and Mike will have to leave earlier to drop him off so that I means I will be up about 30 minutes earlier. I had planned to stay home with him but we are supposed to have a big meeting with our Reading First Supervisor after school so I guess I should be there since my mother-in-law is available to babysit. Hopefully, Brady will be fever free by Thursday. I promise I'll try to get some pictures loaded sometime this week. Have a great week!

Update

Well, it has been a hectic and long week and weekend. I still haven't had time to post any pictures. I will make it a priority over winter break. Brady definately is saying MaMa now. He said it Thursday night while we were eating supper and again tonight at supper. He has been trying to cut some more teeth this week. He has been very impatient and cranky. On Saturday he must have gotten that 24 hour stomach bug because when he would eat, he would throw up. The rest of the time he was fine. I think it was the same thing Colby had last Saturday. Anyway, he seems fine after he threw up at midnight last night. It was really annoying because he had it all over him...in his hair, on his pillow, and even in his ear. It was gross. But luckily, he has been fine today. Only three days this week and we get a 5 day weekend. Hooray. Maybe I can get this dirty house clean and get some pictures uploaded. Well, time to finish getting everything packed up for school tomorrow. I hope everyone is doing good.
